Advanced Community Health Nursing Leadership

Notice: Admissions are suspended for the Advanced Community Health Nursing Leadership MSN program until further notice

Advance health promotion and disease prevention in collaboration with community organizations, public health agencies, and other systems of care with a Master's Degree in Advanced Community Health Nursing Leadership.

This track has two options: Option 1 is 36 credits with 540 clinical hours, Option 2 is 34 credits with 540 clinical hours. Full-time or part-time study available.

The Advanced Community Health Nursing Leadership MSN program is based at UMDNJ’s Newark and Stratford campuses and can be completed in six (6) semesters of part-time graduate study. Applications are accepted year-round.

Graduates of this program will be prepared to provide community health nursing leadership and shape public health policy by addressing leadership, culturally competent urban healthcare and population-based care. The program will prepare advanced community health nurses to practice in urban underserved areas, apply advanced assessment skills and integrate advanced leadership skills and competencies throughout the didactic and experiential component of the program.
