The School of Nursing at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) provides unparalleled opportunities in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Innovative academic offerings include programs at the BSN, MSN, and Post Masters levels. With more than 15 specialty tracks, UMDNJ-School of Nursing offers the largest graduate program in the state. The School launched New Jersey’s first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in 2006 and it also offers a joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Urban Systems. Extensive continuing education opportunities are also available. .

Qualifications: Earned doctorate required for doctorate and graduate program directors and tenure-track faculty; earned doctorate preferred for center director and coordinator positions. Masters in nursing, appropriate national certification and evidence of scholarship required. NIH-funded research is a plus; prior academic experience preferred.
