The School of Nursing at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) provides unique opportunities in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Innovative academic offerings include bachelor's, master's, post-master's and doctoral degree programs that are preparing nurse leaders of today and tomorrow. Centers at the school offer continuing education, advance the practice of nursing, promote cultural competency in healthcare, and provide education, training and healthcare services nationally and internationally to fight HIV/AIDS. Outreach programs include a mobile healthcare clinic serving cities in northern NJ and a community health center in the southern part of the state. .
Nursing Faculty Positions
The University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) School of Nursing will transfer into the family of nursing programs at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, effective July 1, 2013. We will have a new name—Rutgers School of Nursing. We will continue to offer the same academic programs, with the same flexible options, and the excellence our students have come to expect. We are seeking candidates to join our dynamic faculty team.
BSN and MSN Programs
Advanced Practice Nurses with appropriate national certification are invited to apply for immediate openings with our BSN and MSN programs in Newark and Stratford, NJ. Master's degree in Nursing required, doctoral degree preferred. Full-time, Adjunct and Per Diem appointments are available in these specialties:
- Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
- Adult Health Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner with Emergency Nursing expertise

DNP Programs
Doctorally prepared nurses are invited to join the faculty for our Newark, NJ-based DNP programs. We are particularly seeking a faculty member with a strong background in the following specialty:
