Employment Opportunities

The School of Nursing at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) provides unparalleled opportunities in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Innovative academic offerings include bachelor’s, master’s, post-master’s and doctoral degree programs that are preparing nurse leaders of today and tomorrow. Centers at the school offer continuing education, advance the practice of nursing, promote cultural competency in healthcare, and provide education, training and healthcare services nationally and internationally to fight HIV/AIDS. Outreach programs include a mobile healthcare clinic serving cities in northern NJ and a community health center in the southern part of the state.

Faculty Qualifications:

  • Current RN license (NJ) required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing required, along with clinical practice expertise.
  • Doctoral degree in nursing, education, or related field (earned or in progress) preferred for BSN program; required for graduate program.
  • Specialty and/or Nurse Practitioner certification preferred.
  • Evidence of scholarship and prior academic experience, a plus.
