All full-time UMDNJ students, as well as those part-time UMDNJ students
who participate in clinical experiences as part of their educational
programs, are required to be covered by health and accident insurance.
The UMDNJ-School of Nursing separates student's enrollment
eligibilities into two categories: If you are a B.S.N student or a nurse anesthesia student, and you have not waived participation in the
University Health Plan, you will be automatically enrolled in and
charged for the University Health Plan as part of your tuition. The
online Waiver can be found at www.universityhealthplans.com
If you are a School of Nursing Graduate student and need the University
Health Plan, you must self enroll each year. The annual premium will not
be charged to your tuition and you are responsible for payment. If you
wish to voluntarily enroll in the University Health Plan, you must
complete an Enrollment form to purchase coverage. The Enrollment form is
available at the School of Nursing or you can download it at:
www.universityhealthplans.com
The Enrollment form may also be used to enroll dependents for the
University Health Plan. The deadline for enrollment is August 15, 2007.
