Register for courses
If you are an entering student, you must have previously paid your tuition deposit to register. Students are required to register on-line* at my.umdnj.
*Students in the following programs are batch registered by the School and do not need to register themselves

• DNP
• MSN-CRNA (3rd semester and after)

Log in to my.umdnj.edu (if you can't log in, see instructions below)
At the center of the welcome page, under Banner Self-Service, choose Student Enrollment Services and Financial Aid
At the top of this page, choose Registration.

Follow these steps and be sure to verify that you are registered correctly when finished.
- Look for any messages that would prevent you from registering for courses.
- Choose the term for which you wish to enroll (16 = fall, 56 = spring, 76 = summer)
- Select all of the subject code(s) you wish to search. Leave all other fields blank. The "Look-Up Classes to Add" screen will appear. Helpful Hint: The Subject Code is the course prefix (see table, right), i.e. NURS (Nursing Education & Services), ACCP (Acute/Critical Care), etc.
- Select the courses for which you wish to register by clicking the box in front of the CRN (Course Reference Number). At the bottom of the page Click "Register".
If you see an error message, "Prereq or test score required", you need to obtain written permission from your advisor on the course registration form and submit it to Enrollment Services.
If there is an SR or NR, etc. instead of a box to click in front of the CRN, please call Enrollment Services (973-972-5336) to resolve whatever is preventing you from registering.
ANGEL INSTRUCTIONS
To access Angel, log in to My.UMDNJ > Click the My Apps button > Click Angel Learning
You will not be able to access most Angel courses until the official first day of class.
To register for the SN Orientation in ANGEL- please login to Angel first, then click this orientation link.
My.UMDNJ Instructions
Changing your password within My.UMDNJ using the "My Account" or "Forgot your Password" links, will Synchronize your Password for My.UMDNJ, Angel, E-mail and CORE.
FAQ about accounts
To keep these passwords in sync, do not use the reset, change or forgot password features in any of the services except My.UMDNJ.
If you have NEVER logged in to My.UMDNJ, use your University ID (A#) and visit our secure site at https://startup.umdnj.edu to guide you through the process of obtaining your username and password.
PASSWORD PROBLEMS?
If you have your username, password and instructions and cannot log in to the portal (My.UMDNJ) or if you are having password issues and need your portal password changed, please call the Information and Technology (IST) helpdesk at 732-743-3200 and choose "Reset Password" from the phone menu.
If you are not able to access your username and password via all other instructions, you'll need to contact Enrollment Services at 973-972-5336.
