COURSE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Go to my.umdnj.edu (if you can't log in, see instructions below)

Enter your username and password

At the center of this page, under Banner Self-Service, choose Student Enrollment Services and Financial Aid

At the top of this page, choose Registration.

Follow steps 1 through 4 and be sure to verify when finished that you are registered correctly.

Step 1 – Look for any messages that would prevent you from registering for courses.

Step 2 – Choose the term for which you wish to enroll (16 = fall, 56 = spring, 76 = summer)

Step 3 – Select the "subject code(s)" you wish to search. The "Look-Up Classes to Add" screen will appear.
Helpful Hints: The Subject Code is the course prefix, i.e. NURS (Nursing Education & Services), ACCP (Acute/Critical Care), CSPD (Clinical Skills & Physical Diagnosis), etc. DO NOT fill in any other fields for this search.

Step 4 – Select the courses for which you wish to register by clicking the box in front of the CRN (Course Reference Number). At the bottom of the page Click "Register". If you see an error message – "Prereq or test score required", you need to contact your advisor and obtain written permission to register for the course. Then submit the written permission and a course registration form to the Student Affairs office.

If there is an SR or NR, etc. instead of a box to click in front of the CRN, please call Enrollment Services (973-972-5336) to resolve whatever is preventing you from registering.

WebCT INSTRUCTIONS

After logging in to MY.UMDNJ, choose the "Education" tab at the top of the page. Choose "WebCT Campus Edition (Most courses and training)" from the right side of the screen. Click on "Log On to WebCT Campus Edition" and enter your username and password. If you synchronized your passwords when you logged in to My.UMDNJ, your password here will be the same.

If you are not already enrolled in the SN Student Orientation in WebCT, click here to self-register using your WebCT ID.

PROBLEMS?

If you have NEVER logged in to My.UMDNJ and are not able to access your username and password via the following instructions, you need to contact Enrollment Services at 973-972-5336.

My.UMDNJ INSTRUCTIONS

With your University ID (A#) available, please visit our secure site at https://startup.umdnj.edu and follow the instructions. That site contains help to guide you through the process of obtaining your username and password.

Any time you change your password in the My.UMDNJ portal using the "My Account" or "Forgot your Password" links, your UMDNJ Synchronized Password will automatically be updated for all of the above services. To keep these passwords in sync, do not use the reset, change or forgot password features in any of the services except My.UMDNJ.

PASSWORD PROBLEMS?

If you have your username, password and instructions and cannot log in to the portal (My.UMDNJ) or if you are having password issues and need your portal password changed, please call the Information and Technology (IST) helpdesk at 732-743-3200 and choose "Reset Password" from the phone menu.
