RWJF New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program
UMDNJ - School of Nursing is pleased to be among the first institutions in the nation to receive funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) through RWJF New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program. Through this program, scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each will be distributed to second degree, entry-level nursing students in our accelerated BSN program (offered in both Newark and Stratford, NJ) during the 2009-2010 academic year. Award preference is given to students from African American and Hispanic backgrounds, groups which are underrepresented in nursing.

The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) Scholarships
Deadline October 30, 2009
NHHF affiliated with Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York University, will award 16 scholarships to dental, medical, nursing, public health, and policy students who exhibit exceptional academic performance, leadership, and commitment to the Hispanic community. Each recipient will receive $5,000. The scholarships will be presented to awardees at the Sixth Annual New York Scholarship Gala at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Application Deadline: Friday, October 30, 2009. AfterCollege Scholarships

AfterCollege, in collaboration with the AACN, awards $20,000 in scholarships annually to students pursuing a baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing. Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity (BAGNC) Scholarship and Fellowship Programs

The American Academy of Nursing's BAGNC Program is seeking nurses who are committed to advancing the field of geriatric nursing through doctoral studies and research. Two-year scholarships ($50,000 per year) and fellowships ($60,000 per year) are available for the 2010-2012 cohort. NJ Institute for Nursing Scholarships for Enrolled Nursing Students

All applicants must be New Jersey residents and must be enrolled (not waiting to hear) in a diploma, associate, baccalaureate, masters or doctoral nursing program located in the State of New Jersey RNs must be members of the New Jersey State Nurses Association Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, grade point average, and leadership potential. The Institute awards several scholarships of up to $1000 annually. Scholarships may be applied toward tuition, books and academic fees. For application, visit njsna.org and select scholarships.
